Nov 12th – Snorkelling in St Barts

Today I briefly joined in the lifestyles of the rich and famous, as I went on a tour on Catamaran tour to do some snorkelling in the seas of exclusive St Barts. There were only 7 of us on this huge yacht, so we could pretend it was a private charter, as we cruised the blue seas off the coast.

We ended up at some rocks jutting out of the water, about 200 metres from the coast, which were covered in coral, and visited by a number of colourful tropical fish. It's always the bright colours and crazy designs of these fish that amazes me, so I spent a blissful hour or so seeking out the amazing variety of fish on offer, just below the surface.

All too soon, it was time to get back on the yacht and head back to Gustavia – I might not be rich or famous, but I could get used to the lifestyle.

As I don't have an underwater camera, the underwater pictures are from Tracy's less energetic trip in a semi-submersible – she assures me that the sights were much better than the overwhelmingly blue pictures show.
