January 19th – Somewhere in the South Pacific

The start of this World Cruise has A LOT of sea days – it was 5 days to get to Hawaii from LA, and now we're in the middle of our 5 day sail south from Hawaii to French Polynesia. It's been a little rocky (3 metre high waves), but nothing too bad.

Yesterday we crossed the equator, and we are now somewhere off the coast of Kiribati – not that we've seen sight of land (or anything else in this vast ocean) for the last few days. Of course, the passengers are kept entertained by some thrilling lectures and iPad lessons, plus lots of less cerebral entertainment and plenty of food and drink.

Tracy has put together this interactive map so you can track our progress across the High Seas.
