We had two days crossing one of the roughest stretches of waters on any cruise itinerary – the dreaded Tasman Sea (aka "The Ditch").
Actually, things could have been much worse – the waves weren't bigger than 3 metres, rather than the 10 metre high waves that many passengers have experienced in the past; but, it must be said that the constant rocking and rolling gave me a dull headache for a couple of days – kind of like a hangover without the fun bit first.
However, the time passed quickly, with some fascinating lectures (by me!), cooking demonstrations, ice carving etc. But, I will definintely be glad to see land, when we arrive at Hobart tomorrow.
